Ethel Bolla, 93, of Toledo, Ohio passed away October 24, 2014 at the Lutheran Home at Toledo. She was born in Szekesfehervar, Hungary on May 6, 1921 to Jeno and Etel (Hari) Csizmadia. Ethel was known for cooking delicious meals and her fantastic Hungarian baked goods which were sold at Takac'™s Market. She also worked at Tony Packo'™s for a number of years. Ethel loved to do needle point, embroidery, and singing. She was a member of St. Stephen'™s Catholic Church and the Hungarian Club.
Surviving are her sons, Alexander and Victor (Ann) Bolla; grandchildren, Nicholas, Andrew, Stephanie and Nicole Bolla; 4 sisters, all who live in Hungary. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Alex.
Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, on Monday, October 27, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a recitation of the rosary at 4:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Epiphany of the Lord '" St. Stephen'™s Church, 2018 Consaul Street on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. and where the family will greet visitors beginning at 10:00 a.m. Private interment will take place at a later date in Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
