Ethel A. Emch, of Pickle Road, Oregon, Ohio passed away on Monday, July 14, 2003 in St. Charles Hospital. Ethel was a very devoted wife to Vernon, caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed traveling with her husband for many of their 49 years together. Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon, in 1997. Also preceding her in death were sister, Helen Base; brothers, Harold, Erwin, Arnold and William Berger.
Ethel is survived by daughters, Janice A. (David) Nowak and Beverly J. (Pat) Toneff; grandchildren, Megan (Bill) Shuler, Amanda (Kevin) Kennedy, Nolan (Angie) Nowak and Ryan (fiancee, Lindsay Fork) Toneff; 2 great-grandchildren, Madeline Shuler and Isabella Kennedy; brother, Howard (Esther) Berger of Columbus, OH.
Services will be conducted Friday, July 18, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. in First St. John Lutheran Church, 2471 Seaman Rd., Toledo, Ohio. Visitation will be held in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, 440 S. Coy Road at Starr Ave., on Thursday from 2-9 p.m. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be made to First St. John Lutheran Church Altar Guild. The family would like to thank Gale Doxsie, Lana and Dr. Z. Hasan for all their support.
