Ethel Lambert, 85, of Northwood, OH, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2007, at her home. She was born in Czechoslovakia on August 2, 1921 to Alexander and Mary (Horvath) Smith and moved to the U.S. at a young age. Ethel worked for Champion Spark Plug and Willys Overland. She had many hobbies such as sewing, crocheting, gardening and her family's personal favorite's, cooking and baking. Ethel also enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. To all who knew her, she was a humorous, feisty, hard-working and loving person who will be greatly missed.
Ethel is now rejoined in heaven with her husband, James J.; son, James P. and siblings, Helen Golen and Alex Smith. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Catherine; grandchildren, Matthew (Ashley), Monica and Michael Lambert; great-granddaughter, Grace Lambert; sisters, Marie Sneider, Irene Vetter, Joan Spalding and Margaret (Marvin) Barr; many nieces and nephews and loving neighbors who considered her an extended part of her close family.
Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Rd. on Monday, February 5, 2007 from 2 until 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park. Memorial contributions in Ethel's name may be sent to Heartland Hospice or Foundation Park Care Center.
