Ethel V. Toth, 98, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on April 18, 1923 to Dennis and Elizabeth (Takacs) Fabian. Ethel graduated from Waite High School and would work as a Bookkeeper for the DeVilbiss Company and at The University of Toledo Admissions Office. She married the love of her life, Julius "Judd" Toth on August 30, 1947 who preceded her in death. Ethel and Judd enjoyed spending time at Portage Point Inn, where countless memories were made. Together they enjoyed traveling, especially to Fort Meyers Beach. Ethel was a member of Calvin United Church of Christ, where she was very active throughout the years. She loved to cook authentic Hungarian dishes and host gatherings for holidays and various functions. Ethel took great pride in caring for her home and flower garden making sure it was always in immaculate condition. What she cherished most was spending time with her loving granddaughter, Katie.
Ethel is survived by her son, Jeff Toth and granddaughter, Katherine Toth. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Julius "Judd" Toth; brothers, Ernest and William Fabian and sister, Rosa Molnar.
The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on, Tuesday, September 14. 2021 from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. The family will also greet friends at Calvin United Church of Christ 1946 Bakewell St. Toledo, Ohio, 43605 on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in North Oregon Cemetery.
