Eugene (Gene) Burchell, 60, passed away at St. Charles Hospital in the early morning of Friday September 9, 2011. He was born and raised in the Birmingham neighborhood of East Toledo. Gene served in the army as an MP, and was stationed in South Korea during the Vietnam conflict. He loved life to the fullest and above all else he loved his family. Camping and hiking with his family was where he was most happy. Gene leaves behind his wife Maggie; his son Christopher (Kelly), and granddaughter, Talia. Memorial visitation will begin at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday September 11, 2011 at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home 440 S. Coy Rd. in Oregon.
