Eugene Potter, 76, of Martin, passed away Tuesday, January 3rd, 2012 at Promedica Toledo Hospital. He was born in Peebles, Ohio on March 11, 1935 to Zack and Dora (Skeens) Potter. On October 7, 1953, he married Wanda Marlow. Eugene was employed with Libbey Owens Ford in Rossford for 30 years, retiring in 1983. He was a member of Oak Harbor Masonic Lodge # 495 since 1977. He served as a Dad Advisor for DeMolay, Genoa Chapter. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, and raising championship beagle hunting dogs. Eugene is survived by his wife of 58 years, Wanda; children, Eugene (Sharon) Potter and Debbie (Don) Cantwil; 5 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Kenneth and Cecil Potter; and sisters, Evelyn Bates, Wanda Angel, and Dora Mae Dalton. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Wanda Marie Draper; brothers, James, Zack Jr., Ernest, and Donald; and sisters, Alice, Patricia, Martha, and Dorothy. Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel 1111 Woodville Road (east of I-280) on Thursday, January 5th, 2012 from 4:00-8:00 pm with a Masonic Lodge service at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Friday in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Clay Township Cemetery.
