Eugene "Gene" D. Zaeff, 93, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on December 30, 2022, after a long and glorious life. He was born in Brownsville, Pennsylvania on February 5, 1929, to Viola G. DeAngelo Zaeff. After serving in the United States Marine Corps during Korea and the Chosin Reservoir, Gene settled in the Toledo area. He worked at LOF in Rossford for 31 years and for the Catholic Diocese at Holy Rosary School for another 11 years. He was a member of the Chosin Few, VFW, and American Legion organizations.

Gene is survived by his wife of 67 years, Faith; daughter, Becky Zaeff; son, Gene (Kathy) Zaeff; sister, Pat Kennedy; grandchildren, John (Noreen) Pezzino, Nick (Morgan) Zaeff; Alek Zaeff, Roxanne (Shawn) Beal; and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Frank, and sister Elaine.
