Obituary

Eulogia Villegas, 65, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, July 17, 2026.

Eulogia was born on March 11, 1961, in Mexico to Diego and Paula (Garcia) Villegas. She was married to the love of her life, Vicente, until his passing in 1990. She remained devoted to his memory throughout her life.

A hardworking and determined woman, Eulogia dedicated more than 20 years to Hirzel's Canning. She was a faithful member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, where her faith was an important part of her life. She found great joy in cooking and preparing meals that brought her family together. She loved babysitting and caring for her grandchildren, always sharing her time, patience, and unconditional love. She enjoyed gardening and took pride in watching her flowers and plants flourish. An active and determined person, Eulogia participated in marathons and numerous 5K races, embracing every challenge with perseverance.

Eulogia loved traveling, especially returning to Mexico to visit her family and remain connected to her roots. She adored her pet chickens, took great pride in keeping a spotless home, and found happiness in the simple routines of everyday life. She enjoyed helping others whenever she could and will be remembered for her joyful spirit, warm smile, and the kindness she freely shared with everyone she met. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family. Her kindness, strength, unwavering work ethic, and selfless love will be remembered and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jesus (Susanna), Lorena (Juan), and Rene (Rosa); her grandchildren, Exvavier, Isaac, Aiyden, Oliver, Emily, Vincent, Leilany, Vicente, and Rosalio; her mother, Paula Villegas; her siblings, Valente, Juan, Pablo, Carmelo, Jube, Maria, Rosa, and Eleana; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Diego Villegas, her beloved husband, Vicente, and brother, Taide.
