Eva L. Marchetto, 96, of Northwood, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at Otterbein Portage Valley in Pemberville. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on November 30, 1919 to Albert and Bertha (Reno) Bailey. Eva loved cooking, knitting and crocheting. She also enjoyed various games, including poker, euchre and scrabble. Eva kept her family close and always had kind words for everyone. She was always cleaning and never parted with anything usable. Experiencing the Great Depression helped her become who she was later in her life. Surviving are her children, Judith (Ken) Mason, Michael (Gloria) Marchetto, Janet (Jerry) Extine and Mark (Cindy) Marchetto; 15 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and 9 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Marchetto; daughter, Joan Stemen; son-in-law, Dan Stemen; brothers, Leonard and John Bailey; and sister, Cecil Connors. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road (east of I-280) on Saturday, July 2, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
