Eva Jane Smith, 71, of Freetown, Indiana passed away peacefully at her home Tuesday, August 2, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Eva was born July 6, 1951 in Clinton, Kentucky to Herbert and Lillian (Parker) Conner. On August 10, 1979, she married Roy Smith. For several years, Eva worked as a beautician and after moving to Indiana, she worked for Brown County State Park. Her greatest joys were riding horses and Harley Davidson Motorcycles with her husband, Roy. Eva is survived by her husband of 42 years, Roy; children, Heather Marshall, Roger Smith, and Kathy Tatum; grandchildren, Courtney (Cory), Corey (Tasha), Chesney (Tyler), Kennedy, Joshua, and Matt; 4 great-grandchildren; along with many loving family members and friends. Preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sonya Smith; and infant sister, Rose Marie. The family will receive friends at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road Sunday, August 7, 2022 from 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Funeral services Monday, August 8, 2022 at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Interment: Oakwood Cemetery.
