Evelyn L. Callas, 77, passed away unexpectedly on April 3, 2015, while visiting her sister in Winchester, Tennessee. She was born in Belburn, West Virginia on January 25, 1938, to Alfred and Mary (Pugh) Ladoucer. Evelyn worked in the Walbridge elementary cafeteria and then as a Licensed Practical Nurse at a medical office for many years. After her retirement from nursing, she worked part time at Sears in the Woodville mall. She was a member of Lakewood Church of the Brethren in Millbury.
Evelyn loved going to church, reading, listening to gospel music, but especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Evelyn is survived by her husband, Peter; son, Allen (Diane) Harrah; step-children, Kevin (Cindy) Callas and Beth Marie (Donald) Taylor; 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Ellen Page; brother Raymond (Brenda) Ladoucer; good friends, Bernita Hiles, Bob & Gay Winters and Renee Murphy. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Roy Harrah; sister, Alfreda Flanagan; and great-grandchild, Austin.
Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Rd. on Friday, April 10, 2015 from 2:00 to 8:00 pm where her funeral services will take place on Saturday at 11:00 am. Private inurnment will take place in Lake Township Cemetery. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Evelyn's name are asked to consider Lakewood Church of the Brethren.
