Evelyn G. Duffy, 89, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Monday, June 6, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Evelyn was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 5, 1927 to Russell and Irene (Carl) Cummins. She was a 1945 graduate of Woodward High School and married the love of her life George Duffy on August 29, 1946. Evelyn and George enjoyed wintering in Cape Coral Florida for many years. Her hobbies included playing the organ, gardening, and attending quilt club. Evelyn is survived by her children, Kathryn (Carl) Schulz and Robert (Sara Bergman) Duffy; grandchildren, Valerie ( Craig) Martin, Jason Duffy, Kari ( Randy) Duffy- Shrader, Cassandra ( Matthew) Mingus, Theresa ( Bill) Fannin, Renee ( Michael) Charchol, Christopher ( Rene') Downour; great grandchildren, Adam, Nathan, Ava, and Sierra Martin, Killian Mingus, Samantha Charchol, Cody, Caleb and Cameron Downour; along with dear family friend Virginia Patterson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; great-grandchildren, Joshua Downour and Victoria Mingus; and siblings, William Cummins, Catherine Thomas, and Alice Cummins. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Saturday, June 11, 2016 from 10:00 am until time of funeral service at 1:00 pm.
