Evelyn L. Hassler, 85, of Oregon, OH passed away December 27, 2006 in St. Charles Mercy Hospital. She was born in Toledo, OH on August 26, 1921 to Everett and Eula (Dixon) Darbro.  Evelyn was a 1939 graduate of Waite High School and had been employed as a teller at Peoples Savings Bank for 20 years, retiring in 1979. She enjoyed golf and played in the Monday Morning Buffers and the Kool Kats golf leagues. Evelyn was a member of Clark Street United Methodist Church.   Surviving are her daughters, Maralyn Cooper of Greeley, CO and Sally Dreier; granddaughter, Jennifer (Brian) Dreier-Remortel, sister-in-law Marjorie Rauhut. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents and husband, James Hassler, who passed away in 1999. She was a loving mother and grandmother.   Friends and  family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, Oregon, OH  on Friday from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. Expressions of sympathy in Evelyn's memory can be made to St. Vincent Medical Center's Cardiac Care Unit or the Clark Street United Methodist Church.
