Evelyn M. Mattoni, 83, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Monday, August 14, 2017 at her residence surrounded by loved ones. Evelyn was born on October 2, 1933 to Amiel and Flora (Smith) Cutcher. For 26 years, Evelyn worked at the Jeep assembly plant, retiring in 1994. Following retirement, Evelyn found great joy in her daily phone conversations with her sister-in-law, Florence. Her hobbies included: playing bingo, trips to the casino, and crocheting. She was an avid traveler and enjoyed spending time with her pets. Evelyn will be remembered as a gentle giving person who treasured the time she spent with her family. Evelyn is survived by her children, Arnold "Butch" (Pam) Mattoni, Tonda ( Mike) Nutt, Joe (Cathy)Mattoni, Duke Mattoni, Starr (Scott) Tabner, John Mattoni, and Flora Tagle; step-children, Christine (Ron) Krzyminski and Cindy Rizzo; 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Dominic Mattoni and Melvin Posadny; dearly missed son, Chip; and daughter-in-law and best friend, Nancy Mattoni. The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 11:00 am until time of funeral service at 1:00 pm.
