Evelyn Miller, 77, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on October 23, 2026. She was born on October 26, 1948, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Melvin and Elinor (Strickland) Brown.
Evelyn was a 1967 graduate of Clay High School. After graduation, she devoted herself to caring for her family and home. She also enjoyed working at Bob Evans and The Ranch. One of Evelyn's proudest accomplishments was earning her driver's license in her 50s, a milestone she celebrated with great pride!
Evelyn was deeply devoted to her family and her faith. She took great pride in being a loving grandmother and cherished every opportunity to care for and spend time with her grandchildren. Her spunky personality, warm heart, and knack for sharing a good story will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Evelyn found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved watching the birds gather at her feeder and observing the beauty of nature from her backyard. Music also brought her great happiness, and she could often be heard asking Alexa to play a song by Neil Diamond. These simple moments reflected Evelyn's appreciation for the little things in life that brought her comfort and joy.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Laura (Juan) Garces, Mike (Kris) Miller, Melissa Miller, Andy Miller, and Dan Miller; her grandchildren, Nicholas, Alexander, McKenzie, Rylee, Jayden, Caleb, and Jaxon; and her great-grandchildren, Malani and Everleigh. She is also survived by her siblings, Cathy Brown and Ken (Janet) Brown; her stepchildren, Ronda and Jamie Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Frank Brown; her son-in-law, Marvin Williams; and her former husband and the father of her children, Michael J. Miller.
The family will receive friends at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, located at 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, Ohio 43616, on Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday, October 30, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery.
Evelyn will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her devotion to her faith, her spirited personality, and the many stories and simple joys she shared with those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
