Evelyn L. Snyder, 84, of Graytown, Ohio passed away on Monday, January 12, 2015 at St. Charles Hospital in Oregon, Ohio. She was born on November 21, 1930 in Manschoice, Pennsylvania to John and Reeta (Scritchfield) Carter. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Toledo and enjoyed fishing in her spare time. Evelyn is survived by her son, William (Marcia) Snyder of Nashville, Indiana; daughters, Christine (Ken) Szych of Graytown, Ohio and Marlene (Louie) Brown of Toledo, Ohio; siblings, Carolyn Mummert, Connie (Ray) Wilcox, Ina (Dave) Heath and Emma Ewing; sister-in-law, Sylvia Carter; 15 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Snyder; parents; brothers, Ronald, Butch and John Carter; sons, Norman Jr. and Michael Snyder; and daughter, Kathleen Ward. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road (east of I-280) on Saturday January 17 from 12:00 pm until time of funeral service at 3:00 pm. Interment will take place in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park at a later date. Those planning an expression of sympathy in Evelyn's name are asked to consider the charity of the donor's choice.
