Evelyn G. Dameron, 87, of Genoa, Ohio, fell asleep in death on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 after a long illness. Evelyn was born in Ottawa, Ohio on July 24, 1927 to George and Goldie (Parker) Sybert.
Evelyn worked hard her whole life, starting out with waitressing, which she did most of her life. In 1983 she got her GED at the age of 56. She then attended management school and worked at Bare Necessities in Syracuse, NY for ten years-seven of those as store manager before retiring in 1993. Evelyn had been studying the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses for the past few years and loved everything she learned. She was also an avid NASCAR fan, following driver Mark Martin for over 2 decades.
Evelyn is survived by her children, Theodore (Kathleen) Forney and Jacquelyn (Brumback) (John) Bradner; grandchildren, Theodore Forney Jr., John Forney, Sean Forney, Kimberly Phillips, John Bradner Jr., Kelly Gromen and Madison Clement and eight great grandchildren; brother James Sybert, half brother Kenneth Huff and half sister Connie Fisher. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers John Sybert, William Sybert, and Delbert Sybert; and sister Doris Johnson.
Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Rd. Millbury. Family will receive friends from 2-4, Saturday, July 18, 2015 with memorial talk at 4:00.
