Evelyn M. Wakefield, 89, of Oregon, OH, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born in Lima, OH on August 17, 1919, to Grover and Zina (Burgoon) Kipker. Evelyn was employed as a secretary with Ohio Michigan Heating and Air Conditioning for 20 years retiring in 1986. She was a member of Heritage Christian Church, AARP and was active with the Lutheran Home Society. Surviving are her daughter, Peggy (Carl) Schliesser; son, Thomas (Helen) Wakefield; grandchildren, Ryan Wakefield; Lori (Casey) Daniels and Chad (Kathy) Schliesser; great-granddaughters, Jessica and Lyndi Daniels. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Donald. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, on Friday, May 1, 2009 from 11-1 p.m. where funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place in Toledo Memorial Park.
