Evelyn V. (Wade) Wallace, 94, of Oregon, Ohio, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, December 16, 2006, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Perrysburg. Evelyn was born in Liberty Center, Ohio on October 7, 1912, to Charles A. and Ida May (Baker) Wade. Evelyn spent her early childhood on Pelee Island, Ontario where her parents farmed. She returned to Toledo and graduated from Waite High School. In 1936, she married Charles "Chuck" Wallace. She was involved in her children's school activities, serving as a Cub Scout Den Mother. Evelyn also was an advisor for the Oregon Orioles 4-H Club for almost 30 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grand-mother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; 3 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by her children, Heather (Daniel) Russell, Charles "Bruce" Wallace; grandchildren, Nelson Swope, Forrest (Jackie) Swope, Barrett (Dawn) Swope, Kellie (Julio) Mata and Shannon Russell as well as 6 great-grandchildren. She will greatly be missed by all. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon on Tuesday from 2-9 p.m. and where her funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
