Feliberto "Beto" Garcia Sr., 69, of Toledo, Ohio passed away August 30, 2021 at Skilled Nursing in Perrysburg. He was born on April 18, 1952 to Rodolfo and Guadalupe (Santellana) Garcia. He was a graduate of Northwood High School and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam. He worked in heating and air conditioning for many years before retiring in 1989, Beto enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, working on cars and collecting hats. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, devoting much of his time to his many grandchildren. Beto is survived by his children, Filiberto Garcia Jr., Guadalupe "Lupita" Cook, Gary Cook and Felicia "Licia" Garcia; mother, Lupe S. Garcia; siblings, Susan (Gary) Orosco, Jose Luis Garcia, Rigoberto (Lupe) Garcia and Nicholas (Karen) Garcia; grandchildren, Isaiah, Mia, Jessalyn, Bella, Oscar and Ranessa. He was preceded in death by his father, Rodolfo Garcia; brother, Rodolfo Garcia Jr.; and best friend, Gary Barber. A memorial service will be held at Saints Peter and Paul's Church, 738 St. Clair Street, Toledo on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. A wake will follow the memorial service at the same location. Private inurnment will take place at Restlawn Memorial Park at a later date.
