Ferrell Wallace, 82, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Friday, August 3, 2007, in Bay Park Community Hospital. Ferrell was born in Tivis, Virginia on June 4, 1925, to James A. and Elvira (Branham) Wallace. Mr. Wallace was a veteran of World War II serving in the US Coast Guard, Merchant Marine and Army Air Corp.
Surviving are his loving wife of 58 years, Mildred (Potter) Wallace; daughters, Janis (Tim Spradlin) Ricard, Christine Wallace, Vivian Stage, Francine (Jim) Weaver, Jill Pope; brothers, Rufus, John and Billy Wallace; sisters, Faye Childers, Clara Potter, Polly Thompson; grandchildren, Bill (Angie Gonzales) Newhouse, Matthew (Dayna) Newhouse, Emily Drain, Kari (Mark) Buffington, Daniel Weaver, Alyssa and Kelsey Pope; 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Josh, Lawrence and Russell; sister, Rosalie Crum.
Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Sunday from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Ferrell's memory may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Association.
