Filippo Giorgi, 66, of Toledo , Ohio passed away on Friday, February 5, 2016 at St. Charles Hospital . He was born in Ceccano-Frosinone , Italy on February 27, 1949 to Michelangelo and Maria (Spinespille) Giorgi. Filippo worked as a journeyman machine repairman for 30 years before retiring. He was a Veteran of the Italian Army, enjoyed watching soccer, was a member of Sacred Heart Church and loved tinkering around in his garage. Filippo is survived by his son, David (Misty) Fitzpatrick; sister, Lorenzina (Marino) Liburdi; brother Marzio (Lorenza) Giorgi; nephews, Joseph, Massimo and Salvatore Liburdi; and grandchildren; Chloei, Rose, Graylynn and Charlee Fitzpatrick. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Coralynn "Corky" Giorgi. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. on Thursday, February 11, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Friday, February 12, 2016 at 11:00 am. Inurnment will take place at a later date. Expressions of sympathy in Filippo's name may be directed to American Cancer Society or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
