Florence J. Nissen, 93, of Perrysburg and formerly of Oregon, Ohio passed away Sunday, June 20, 2010 in Manor of Perrysburg. Mrs. Nissen was born in Toledo on September 27, 1916 to Julius and Mary (Ordakowski) Gosciniak. Mrs. Nissen was a graduate of Woodward High School. She then attended barber school in Buffalo, NY where she became the first lady barber in the city of Buffalo. Florence later was the owner and operator of Hampton Park Beauty Shop for 15 years before her retirement in 1955. She was a member of Memorial United Church of Christ, the Eagles Auxiliary and a charter member of the Sun Oil Square Dancing Club. Surviving are her daughter, Nancy ( Roud) Klag; son, Ted G. (Nancy) Nissen; brother, Raymond Gosciniak; sister, Edna Summers; grandchildren, Ben, Sally, and Russell Klag, Kelly Nissen; great grandchildren, Olivia, Kaden, Madison and Nathen Klag and soon to be born Derek Klag. She was preceded in death by her husband Glen Nissen in 1997 and grandson, Lee Klag who preceded her in 2009. Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Monday from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Tuesday at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
