Floyd A. Deindoerfer, 85, of Port Clinton, Ohio and formerly of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Friday, December 17, 2010 at his residence. Floyd was born on November 17, 1925 to John and Irene (Schumacher) Deindoerfer. He served in the Navy during WWII in the South Pacific. Floyd was an autoclave operator for LOF at the East Broadway plant for 38 year before his retirement. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 3925 in Erie, Michigan. Floyd was also a member of the Moose lodge and a past member of the Lotus Lodge.
Floyd is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Geraldine 'œGerry'; daughters, Christina (Linden) Anderson, Janis (Bart) Flora; sisters, Shirley Bates, Betty Eagan; grandchildren, Mark, Anthony (Brandy) Anderson and Michelle (Nick) Shaw, Jarrett and Allyson Flora; great grandchildren, Avien Anderson and Sophia Shaw. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Jr.
Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd on Monday, December 21, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
