Floyd J. Weiland, 83, of Oregon, OH passed away on Friday, May 27, 2011 at Mercy St. Vincent'™s Hospital. He was born in Ross Township, OH on June 4, 1927 to Fred and Lovell (Brough) Weiland. Floyd worked at the Farmer'™s Market since he was a boy and also owned and operated Weiland'™s Garden Carryout for 20 years retiring in 1990. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Surviving are his daughters, Marlene (Timothy) Davis, Charlene (Steve) Shields and Christie Wisniewski; grandchildren, Tori Martin, Tiffany Costa, Brandon Shields and Brittany Wisniewski; great grandchild, Jenna Martin. brothers, Earl, Fred and Edwin Weiland; sisters, Donamay King, Shari Lou Tiffany and Bonnie Conley. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gloria; sisters, Betty, Pearl, Lucille and Lovell.
Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 from 2 pm until 8 pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 1 pm with interment following in Lake Township Cemetery.
