Frances K." Becky" Squires, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, Ohio at the age of 94. She was born September 11, 1928 in Utica, Ohio to Stanley and Lucy (Hauger) Smoots. In 1951, she graduated from Flower Hospital School of Nursing and was employed in Labor & Delivery at St. Charles Hospital. She met and married the love of her life, Paul Squires, building their home in Oregon, Ohio. Becky raised her four daughters and loved being a mother and credited all her cooking skills to Betty Crocker! She was an accomplished knitter, enjoyed sewing, canned numerous fruits and vegetables from their bountiful garden, and will be remembered for her tasty pies and homemade breads. Becky loved a good walk in Pearson Park and attending her grandchildren's school and athletic events.

Becky is survived by her children, daughters, Jennifer (Steve) Sable, Judy (Bob) Perry, Joanne (Scott) Harrington, and Janet (Larry) Ramsey; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and brother, Raymond Smoots. Preceded in death by her parents; grandfather who raised her and her siblings, George Washington Smoots; husband, Paul Squires, and siblings, Opal Weaver, Christine Earlewine, George Smoots and Stan Smoots.

Becky's family wishes to thank the staff of Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their loving and gracious care. Private services were held. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to the Clay High School Band Boosters. Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
