Frances L. (Linden) Boomer, 84, of Oregon, Ohio passed peacefully away Wednesday, December 24, 2008, in her residence surrounded by her loving family. Fran was born on January 6, 1924, in Toledo to Raymond W. and Frances Ola (Gingery) Linden. She was a lifetime member of American Legion, VFW Post and DAV Post. Prior to retiring in 1981, Fran had worked in the office at the former Montgomery Ward Department Store. She also was a member of the Toledo Rock and Gem Club as well as the Quartzsite AZ Rock and Gem Club. Fran was very active in her hobbies including lapidary work, silversmithing, reading, puzzles, custom made greeting cards, working with stained glass, painting and glass fusion artwork. Her real love was traveling extensively with her husband. Surviving are her loving husband of 63 years, Donald E.; daughters, Susan (Rick) Szempias, Pamela (Terry) Szmania and Heather Reno; grandchildren, Josh, Autumn, Keith, Scott, Nickolas, Jason, Jordan and Justin; great-grandchildren, Damien, Eric, Samantha, Alivia, Haley, Dakota, Michaela, Samantha and Teague. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Monday from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
