Frances E. Hendricks, 80, of Toledo, passed away Friday, February 27, 2009, in Toledo Hospital. Fran was born in Findlay, Ohio on March 22, 1928, to Everett and Stella (Losh) Dotson. She was the widow of Robert Hendricks who preceded her in death in 1996. Mrs. Hendricks was employed as a secretary for the Toledo Board of Education for over 25 years before her retirement at Waite High School in 2000. She was a member of Memorial United Church of Christ, Lotus Chapter #477 Order of Eastern Stars, and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Fran was also a very loyal volunteer for many years at the St. Louis Kitchen. Surviving are her daughters, Linda, Jan and Terri (Rick) Seward; son, Jim (Joy); sister, Norma Swisher; brother, Robert (Jeanette) Dotson; 5 grandchildren; 15 great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Monday from 2 to 9 p.m. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in Memorial United Church of Christ, Starr Avenue at Plymouth Street. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions in Fran's memory may be made to Memorial United Church or Christ or the St. Louis Kitchen.
