Frances E. Koenig, 97, of Northwood, passed away Monday, March 22, 2010 at Mercy St. Charles Hospital Oregon . She was born in Curtice , Ohio to Joseph and Lottie (Shovar) Grosjean. Frances was employed with Woolworth'™s as a clerk for 20 years, retiring in 1977. Frances was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church and its Altar Rosary Society and recently attended St. Jerome Catholic Church. She volunteered with Helping Hands of St. Louis and enjoyed playing cards and bingo. She is survived by her children Donald (Velma), Lois Blair, Lyle ( Beverly ), and Merle (Sally); 16 grandchildren, 31great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lawrence, daughter Shirley, and siblings, Fred Grosjean, Tillie Cutcher, Kate Grosjean, and Marge Reetz. Friends may call at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Wednesday from 4:00-8:00 pm and Thursday from 2:00-8:00pm where the rosary will be recited at 7:30pm. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 am Friday, with prayers in the funeral home and proceed to St. Jerome Catholic Church, 300 Warner Street Walbridge for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery .
