Frances E. McGill, 77, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2007 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born on October 13, 1930 to the late Herbert and Anna (Diebert) Veler. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, James, in 1994. A graduate of Waite High School, Frances was a member of Mayfair Plymouth Congregational Christian Church and the Black Swamp Wood Carvers. Frances was a wonderful baker who always made people feel at home with a cup of coffee and a warm heart. She enjoyed traveling, camping and crafting. Surviving are her daughters, Diane (William) Smith and Linda Voorhees (Terry Colvin); son, James (Mary); sisters, Gloria Uhde; brothers, Emerson (Erika) and Franklin Veler; grandchildren, Michael (Angie), Jennifer and Chad (Mia) Rombach, Nicole (Tom) Literacki, Shannon (Josh) Anderson and Clarissa Voorhees, Jimmy, Laura, Stephanie and Eric McGill; great-grandchildren, Kayla, Sylvia, Alannah, Cade, Nicholas, Brent and Cody and many nieces and nephews. Frances also was preceded in death by a sister and 5 brothers. Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, on Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 9 pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Monday, December 10, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
