Frances B. Shemak, 85, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Bay Park Hospital. Frances was born in Toledo, Ohio on April 17, 1933 to Anthony and Frances (Benedict) Tomsic. Frances married her best friend James Shemak on June 28, 1969 and he would precede her in death. She enjoyed bowling, cooking, baking and babysitting her grandchildren. In her early years she enjoyed boating with her husband. What Frances cherished most was her family who will miss her dearly. Frances is survived by her children, Wendy (Michael) Johnson, Tammy Shemak; grandchildren, CJ, Zachary; step-grandchildren, Zach, Gregory, Tony, Ian; great-granddaughter, Alaina and great-grandson on the way; sisters-in-law, Kaye Tomsic, Betty "Tootsie" Tomsic and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and 5 siblings. The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 4:00 pm-8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in North Oregon Cemetery.
