Frances E. Tscherne, 87, of Oregon, Ohio passed away surrounded by her loving family on July 3, 2016 at Little Sisters of the Poor. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on April 22, 1929 to Loretto and Eliza (Ferroni) Palombi who migrated to the United States from Italy. Frances married Anthony Tscherne on October 1, 1949 who preceded her in death on October 16, 1983. She volunteered for over 10 years at Little Sisters of the Poor, was a lifelong member of Holy Rosary Parish where she was in the Alter Rosary Society, past member of Mothers Guild and also a member of the Italian Alba Club. Frances loved making homemade Italian dishes, line dancing but most of all spending time with her family and friends. She was very proud of her Italian heritage and family traditions which she passed down to her beloved family. She is survived by her children, Jim (Fran) Tscherne, Larry (Marcie) Tscherne, Tony (Joanie) Tscherne, Gary (Candy) Tscherne, Tim Tscherne (Dawn Yeager), Marsha Bochi (Tom Miller); grandchildren, Sara, Jaime, Michael, Todd, Jill, Eric, Anthony, Gary, Brett, Allyson, Danielle, Drew, Dana; 16 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and loving family members. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Anthony; sisters Mary Santoro, Nancy Palombi, brother Marshall Palombi; nephew Tom Santoro and many other family members. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Thursday, July 7, 2016 from 2-8 pm. The family will greet friends on Friday, July 8, 2016 at Little Sisters of the Poor, 930 S. Wynn Rd., Oregon, Ohio 43616 from 9:30 am until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am. Private interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy in Frances's name may be directed to Little Sisters of the Poor. The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the administration and staff at Little Sisters of the Poor for the outstanding compassionate care they provided to their mother as well as Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
