Obituary

Frances Kay Yanez, age 66, passed away Tuesday, July 4th, in her home surrounded by her loving family and friends. Fran was born on April 18, 1940 in Monroe, Michigan to Bernard and Jennie M. (Mountain) Barron. She graduated from Monroe High School. Fran was a devoted wife, a caring mother and a trusted friend. She adored her children and treasured every moment with her grandchildren. She felt the love of her family made her feel like the richest woman in the world.  If you met Fran you loved Fran. Fran loved dancing, music, coaching her daughters  in cheerleading and softball, watching her sons and grandchildren play sports and stood by her husband during his 40 years as a boxing coach. Fran will be missed tremendously by her loving husband, Gilbert Yanez. Gil and Fran celebrated 43 years of being happily married on April 26th. Her four adoring children are left to cherish her memory, Robin Renee Yanez (Leslie Nadeau), Lynnette Jean (James) Comer, Kelly Ann (Fred) Florez and Gilbert Chadrick (ReBeca Castro) Yanez; eleven grandchildren, John (Heather) Gilbert, Freddie, Kel-ci, Mercedes, Austin, Santino, Sierra, Serenity, Samantha, Brooklyn,  Michael, Princesa and James; two great-grandchildren, Johnny, Madison and twin girls, Kaylynn and Marissa, who we are anxiously expecting this fall. Also surviving are her stepfather, Byron Henderson of Monroe; stepmother, Dorothy Barron of Monroe; three brothers, Ronald (Debra) of Monroe, Roger of Sylvania, and Daniel of Atlanta, GA.; three sisters, Brenda (Terry) Pulcheon and Barbara Barron, both of Monroe, and Janice (William) Mullins of Tenn. Her parents; brother Richard; sister Betsey and her son, Samuel Castellese, whom she cherished with all her heart, preceded her in death. Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley funeral home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., on Thursday July 6, 2006 from 2 -9 pm and Friday from 2-9 pm with a 7:30pm  scripture service.  Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 11:00 am.  Entombment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be sent to the family. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses for the tender and attentive care that was given to   Fran while being treated at St. Charles Hospital.
