Francis "Frank" S. Lawecki Jr. of Monroe, Michigan, passed away peacefully at his home Monday, April 10, 2023. Frank was born in Toledo, Ohio to Francis and Catherine (Duris) Lawecki Sr. Until his retirement Frank worked for many years in information technology and traffic control management. Frank is survived by his lovely wife of 57 years Barbara Jean, along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Constance "Connie" Szymanski.

Frank was an avid fisherman and was most proud of his work involving fishery in the lakes. His advocacy (with the assistance of a few dedicated sportsmen) resulted in major changes in the elimination of all gill nets in Ohio Waters of Lake Erie. In his later years he enjoyed a daily glass of his favorite sweet wine kindly provided by his niece Rene. Frank considered himself a hotdog connoisseur. He along with his nephew Steve frequented area establishments sampling and enjoying them all.

The family wishes to extend their appreciation to the nursing staff and doctors at Monroe ProMedica Hospital and Hospice for his impeccable care.
