Frank S. Bilek, 84, passed away on June 18, 2015 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Frank was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 4, 1931 to Joseph and Mary (Fegyak) Bilek. He was a US Army Veteran who served during the Korean War where he was a Cook in Stuttgart, Germany. Frank was a Toledo Police Officer for 26 years before retiring in 1983. He was a member of the Toledo Police Retirees, the American Legion Post #512, the F.O.P. Lodge #40, VFW Post #4906 and the DAV Lodge #27. Frank is a former member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and a current member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church. Strong in his faith, Frank was Godfather to Paul Molnar, Mary Luzader and Gery Tomsic(deceased). CueBall and his wife Nancy were world travelers, enjoyed being with family and friends, entertaining in the back yard, inviting the neighborhood kids to the pool by flying a white flag, enjoying life with their dogs Fritz (a.k.a. Devil) I,II,III,IV, and listening to Czech music.
Frank is survived by his wife of 60 years, Nancy; sister-in-law, Betty Jane Bochi; "Uncle Cue Ball" to his nieces and nephews Nancy and Dennis Clark, Joseph and Donna Bilek, Albert and Caroline Bilek, John and Dee Bilek, Christine and Tim Brandhuber, Thomas and Joyce Smith, Becky and Joseph Petrusky, Amy Fuhr, Robert and Cathy Bilek, Sue and Harry Williams, Robert and Dianne Bochi, David and Donna Bochi, Andrew Bochi, James and Annie Bochi; 37 great nieces and nephews; 24 great-great nieces and nephews, and 1 great-great-great niece. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Albert, Robert, and Joseph Bilek; sister, Eleanor Smith.
Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., on Saturday and Sunday from 2 – 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday at 11:00 am at Epiphany of the Lord – St. Stephen' s Parish, 2018 Consaul St., Toledo where the family will greet visitors beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
