Frank S. Legeza Sr., 89, of Toledo, Ohio passed away August 15, 2014 at Heartland of Oregon. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on December 23, 1924 to Sandor and Bertha (Nagy) Legeza. Fritz was a US Army Veteran of World War II, where he was a CPL 36th Div from 1943 - 1945. Fritz received the Purple Heart Medal, Bronze Star and Prisoner of War Medal. He had been employed as an Iron Worker out of Local 55, just recently receiving his 65 year pin. In his spare time Fritz loved gardening, bowling and golfing. Surviving are his children, Linda Fox, Cynthia (Dominic) Cappeillo and Terry Legeza; his wife'™s children, Mickey and James Felaris, and Katherine Pattay; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchidren. Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Olga; son, Frank Legeza Jr.; Olga'™s son, George Felaris; grandson, Damian Legeza sons-in-law, Anthony Fox Sr. and Edward Pattay; siblings, Barbara Richards, Sandor Legeza and Ethel Jakab. Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Monday from 1-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in North Oregon Cemetery.
