Obituary

Francis A. "Frank" Palombi, 67, of Dallas, Texas, formerly of Toledo, Ohio, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 2, 1956 to Rocco and Joan (Gorsuch) Palombi. Frank graduated from Cardinal Stritch, Class of 1974 and would go on to pursue a career in the music industry. His passion for music began in grade school where he and some friends started a band during his Holy Rosary days. That led to Frank eventually working at the Disc Record Shop in Woodville Mall at night, while he sunlighted as a City of Toledo garbageman. In 1981 he began working with Capital Records in promotional marketing with some legendary artists such as, Tina Turner, Paul McCartney, Bob Seger, David Bowie, Tom Cochran, Blue October and Foo Fighters. After his time at Capital, he worked for Universal Music as the VP of Promotion. Frank was one of the top men is his field, known by all of the radio program directors domestically and respected by all of the artists he promoted. Aside from his work in promotions, Frank will be known for his sharp wit and great sense of humor. He made sure to get a rise out of anyone he met. What he cherished most were his children, which he was so proud of for what they have become and of all of their accomplishments.

Frank is survived by his children, Jane, Rocco, Natalie; mother, Joan Palombi; siblings, Rick Palombi, Julie Palombi, Kathy (Mike) Lucas, Lori (Don) Imm, Nancy (Andy "China") Quiroga; nieces and nephews, Nick, Melissa, Anthony, David, Kelly, Julia, Jennifer; and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by his father, Rocco Palombi and infant brother, Rocky.

The family will receive friends at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 1:00 pm until the time of memorial service at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks expressions of sympathy in Frank's name directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
