Obituary

Franklin Delano Bauer, 87, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Friday, February 26, 2021. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on February 14, 1934 to Paul and Elizabeth (Vernel) Bauer. After graduating from Waite High School in 1952 he served his country in the United States Army. Shortly after he began to work at LOF before retiring after 46 years of service. Franklin was a devout Catholic and life member at Epiphany of the Lord Parish- St. Stephens Catholic Church. He loved to play the lottery, attend church festivals, watch T.V., listen to country music and really enjoyed his mall walking. Franklin is survived by many nieces, nephews and loving family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Louis Bauer, Helen Smith, Margaret Feher and Lola Abbey. Friends and family may visit Epiphany of the Lord Parish- St. Stephens, 1880 Genesee St., Toledo, OH, 43605 on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 from 10:00 am until the time of Mass at 11:00 am. Inurnment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Epiphany of the Lord Parish- St. Stephens or Hospice of Northwest Ohio. The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff at Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the compassionate care they gave to their loved one.
