Franklin M.Breece, 83, of East Toledo passed away Friday, June 2, 2006 in his residence surrounded by his loving family. Frank was born in Jackson, Michigan on April 11, 1923, to Franklin & Bertha Snyder Breece. He was a WWII Army Veteran serving in India from 1943 -1946 with the 287th Port Company. Frank married Donna Murphy Breece on June 30, 1956 and who preceded him in death on May 25, 2006. He worked for Toledo Radiator for 50 years as a repairman and also worked for the former Standard Oil Company. Frank was a member of Unity Oakdale United Methodist Church where he volunteered with the food pantry. He also was a member and a volunteer of the East Toledo Senior Center. Surviving are his children, Sharon Ernie Shiffler; son, Robert Ann Murphy; 4 grandchildren, Ernie Renee Shiffler, Eric Leslie Shiffler, Donna Edwards and Shawn Cari Murphy; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jean Meadford, Evelyn Miller, Phyllis Robert Starkie; brother, Gerald Evelyn Breece. In addition to his wife, Frank was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Doyt; sister, Edna Kreiderand; great-grandson, Brendan Murphy. Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, on Monday from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 1 30 p.m.. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. The family suggests memorial contributions in Franklin's memory be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio Perrysburg or to Unity United Methodist Church.
