Franklin E. Brown, 71, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021 at St. Vincent's Hospital. He was born in Lima, Ohio on April 17, 1950 to Melvin and Elinor (Strickland) Brown. Frank graduated from Clay High School and then proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He began his working career with OI and later at Leonard Archives which would later become Iron Mountain. Frank eventually retired from First Solar. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns and Indians fan. Frank was an active member at St. Paul's United Methodist Church-Millbury. He was a very generous man, donating blood every 56 days religiously. Frank lived to help and care for other people, but what he cherished most was spending time with his family.
Frank is survived by his wife of 20 years, Karen; sons, Jim, Bobby; step-children, Joanna (Mike), Al (Niya), Charles and Laura; siblings, Evelyn, Cathy and Kenny; grandchildren, Jamie, Madison, Sorrayah, Liam; one great-grandchild on the way; and many nieces, nephews and loving family members. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends may visit Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 South Coy Road on Friday, December 3, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place in the funeral home on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Frank's name may be directed to, St. Paul's United Methodist Church or American Red Cross.
