Franklin R. "Butch" Kleeberger, 87, of East Toledo was embraced in the arms of God on July 3, 2004 at
Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He was born on August 2, 1916 in Toledo, Ohio to John and Clara (Mack)
Kleeberger. Frank was an Army veteran of WWII and a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church where he
served as Eucharistic Minister and was active with the Holy Name Society, ushering, and visiting the sick. He
also was a past Boy Scout Master. Franklin was employed with LOF for 28 years retiring in 1978.
Surviving are his children, Paul (Mary Pat), Kathleen Root, Mark (Sue), Phil (Linda), Al (Terri), Cecilia (Phil)
Lindsey, Ray and John Kleeberger; 22 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by
his parents; wife, Cecilia and sister, Ruth Kowalski.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5-9 pm and Wednesday from 2-9 pm in the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley
Funeral Home Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon with Rosary-Scripture services at 7 pm on
Wednesday. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Thursday at 9:30 am and proceed to Good
Shepherd Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am. Interment will take place in Lake Township Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Franklin's honor may be made to Good Shepherd Church, the Helping Hands at St.
Louis Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
