Freda M. Johnson, 100, of east Toledo passed away Sunday morning, August 23, 2009, in her residence surrounded by her loving family. Freda was born in Athens, Ohio on November 26, 1908, to William and Ollie (Daily) Jaynes. Freda was a member of the Hope Wesleyan Church where she was a very active member and actively supported the mission fields. Freda was a woman of faith and loved her family. Surviving are her loving children, Margaret (Michael) Jurski, Charles (Linda) Johnson, William (Meta) Johnson; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Mamie Chambers. Freda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Karl Johnson; son, Robert Johnson and several of her siblings. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon. Funeral services will be held in the Hope Wesleyan Church, 2074 Delence Street, Toledo on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. and where the family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Freda's memory are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
