Frederick G. Jones, 69, of Toledo, OH passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2017 in St. Vincent Mercy Hospital. Fred was born August 11, 1947 in Syracuse, NY to Grady and Lillian (Pittsley) Jones. He served in the US Army and was a member of the Northwood VFW Post #2964. Fred was employed for 25 years by the U.S. Postal Service, Bowling Green, OH as manager of maintenance. Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Barbara; children, Chris (Deb) Jones of McClure, OH, Lisa (Rick) Collins of McComb, OH and Dennis (Deanna) Jones of Toledo, OH; grandchildren, Kurt, Craig, Star, Amber, Dennis II, Dylan and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Bonnie Wright. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., on Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 1:00 until 3:00 pm where Northwood VFW #2964 will conduct Military Honors at 2:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 pm with interment remaining private. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
