Obituary

Frederick D. Walton 91, of Oregon, Ohio passed away Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Mercy St. Charles Hospital. Fred was born in Piqua, on June 28, 1921. He was a US Army Veteran serving in WWII. Fred worked 40 years and retired in 1982 from the Pennsylvania Railroad where he was an engineer. He was a member of St. Paul'™s Episcopal Church, also a member of the Masonic Blue Lodge #433 and the Chippewa Golf Club for 40 yrs. Fred was an avid reader, golfer and sports enthusiast, a big fan of the Detroit Lions, Michigan State Spartans and the New York Yankees. Surviving are his daughters and sons in law, Diane and Gene Schwind, Marcia and Jeff Mossing; grandchildren Shannon (Michael) Gose, David (Amanda) Hoffman, Alissa (Sy) Gladden, Jason (Theresa) Emch; great grandchildren, Casey, Carly, Caitlin Gose, Samantha & Tanner Hoffman, Camden Gladden, Makayla Emch. Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn; parents; brother, Arthur Walton Jr. Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Monday from 2-8 pm. and where Masonic Lodge Services will be held at 7pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
