7/23/2004 Gale E. Hoops Gale E. Hoops, 62, of Tontogany , Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2004 in his home. Gale was born on March 21, 1942 in Toledo to Dell and Helen ( Dowell) Hoops. He was a US Navy veteran and a member of Calvin United Church of Christ. Gale was employed for the Dana Corporation as a machinist for over 30 years before his retirement in 1999. He collected motorcycles, was an avid movie buff and enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his son, Allen; daughters, Joyce (Lloyd) Ritenour and Lisa (Mike)Burkholder; sister, Marsha Hoops; step-daughter, Marie Baker; step-son, Todd Draper; bother, Bob (Mary Jo) McAuley; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; mother and father-in-law, Priscilla and George Taylor and brother-in-law, Jeffrey Taylor. Gale was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Joyce. Visitation will be held in the Eggleston-Meinert Funeral Home, Woodville Road Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, on Friday July 23, 2004 from 3 until 8 PM. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1pm on Saturday. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery. The family suggest memorial contributions be made to Calvin United Church of Christ, Hopewell Wesleyan Christian Church or Charity of the donor's choice.
