Gary A. Kigar, 80, of Oregon, Ohio passed away peacefully on July 7th, 2022 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. He was born on June 15, 1942 to Melvin and Helen Kigar. He was a graduate of Waite High School. He then joined the Air Force and was stationed in Texas. He married Cheryl Kigar on July 8, 1967. He was a conductor for Penn Central, Conrail and Norfolk Southern prior to his retirement.
Left to cherish his memoiry are his wife of 55 years, Cheryl; children, Beth (Joel Steingraber) Kigar and Bart (Courtney) Kigar; his grandchildren, Nikki (Dan) Moore, Josh DeBaets, Ian Kigar, Max Kigar and Cecilia Kigar; his great grandchildren, Macy Strauss and Ben Moore; his brothers, Mel (Lona) Kigar and Doug (Marcia) Kigar; sisters, Bev Lewis, Judy Opial, Ellie (Bill) Raetzke and Karen Elwardany. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Janet Faust.
Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, cooking and watching sports, especially Ohio State football. He especially loved spending time with his family.
