Obituary

Gary Baker, 68, of Williston, Ohio went home to be with his Heavenly Father on December 16, 2013 surrounded by his family. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on July 6, 1945 to Robert and Bernice (Gardner) Baker. He worked at Toledo Edison for many years before retiring in 2001. Gary was a member of Hope Community Church of the Nazarene, participating in Bible studies and the Safe Harbor small group. He was also a longtime member of the Zoning Board of Appeals in Allen Township. He was a collector of everything. In his free time, Gary enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, reading his Bible and spending time with his family. Gary is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Judy; daughters, Denise (Ken) Kobylak, Krystina Wilson and Kari (Todd) Fern; brothers Robert (Pat) and Russell (Leanne); sister-in-law Connie (Tom) Schwartz; grandchildren, Mikaela, Michael, Jacob, Gabriel, Joseph and Isaiah; and many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and in-laws, John Reihing and Ruth Reihing. Friends may call at the Hope Community Church of the Nazarene on Saturday December 21 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Celebration of Life at 11:30 a.m. Casual Dress (Jeans). Interment will follow at Williston Cemetery, Allen Township. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions go to Hope Community Church of the Nazarene to be used to provide food for those in our community in need.
