Gary Robert Tipton, 71, passed away suddenly in his home on Tuesday, July 31, 2012. Gary retired after 41 years from CSX railroad. He is survived by his wife, Susan Jean Tipton; his mother, Opal Simon; sons, Robert (Jeanna) Tipton, Ronald Tipton, Randy (Linda) Tipton and Russell (fiancé Helena) Tipton; step daughters, Deanna Groesbeck and Denise Pippin; siblings, Danny Tipton, Cathy (Jim) Etchie, Larry Tipton and Carla Tipton; 10 Grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold E. Tipton; sister, Sally Jean Tipton; brothers, Harold 'œLee' Tipton and Lynn Eldon Tipton; step son, Donald Lee Mahlman. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., on Thursday, August 2, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place in the funeral home on Friday beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
