Gayle R. Boehmer, 84, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away Friday, November 16, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Gayle was born in Covington, Kentucky on July 14, 1934 to Gary and Thelma (Mains) Derks. On October 6, 1956, she married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, William Boehmer. Gayle was a longtime member of St. Louis and St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Churches; where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She was an avid reader and worked many years for the Wood County Public Library System. Her true passion was spending time with her family attending her children's and grandchildren's activities. Gayle is survived by her husband of 62 years, William; children, Lynne Boehmer, Laura (Glen) Amundsen, Teresa (Rob) Weaver, and Monica (Dan) Kerner; grandchildren, Brooks (Diana) Clayton, Ryan Clayton, Nick (Dana) Robertson, Lily Boehmer, Derek Kerner, and Erin Kerner; sister, Anita (Don) Schneider; sister-in-law, Barbara Boehmer; and many loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. The family will receive friends at Epiphany of the Lord Parish- St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 729 White Street, Toledo on Monday, November 19, 2018 from 9:00 am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am.
