Gene A. Jannucci, 82, of Oregon, Ohio passed away Sunday, December 16th, 2012 at St. Charles Mercy Hospital. Gene was born April 27, 1930 to Emile and Rose (Martinelli) Jannucci. Gene was a U.S. Navy Veteran who served as an aviation photographer'™s mate during the Korean War. He attended the University of Miami, (Florida) where he graduated in 1955 with a bachelor'™s degree in Accounting. Gene was employed by the U.S. Treasury Department as a Special Agent for 24 years before retiring in 1980. Gene enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, gardening, cooking, and traveling. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Surviving are his loving wife, Joanne K. of 56 years; son, Jon A., of Washington, D.C.; daughter, Lisa J. (Frank) Jennings, of Cleveland, Ohio; grandchildren, Nicholas (Samantha) Arquette, and Adam Arquette; and great grand-daughter, Emily Arquette. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Mary Claar; brother, Robert Jannucci; and sister Gloria Roseberry.
Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Wednesday from 2-8 pm. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Thursday at 11:00 am. with interment to follow at Willow Cemetery.
